I haven't visited for a while, and this may have to be moved to another area, but I have to start telling this ridiculous story before it blows my own head off.
Back in June 2007 driving down town for a quick routine purchase, my steering collapsed and my car lurched hard into the side of the town bridge.
Apart from $300.00 panel damage, it destroyed both left side tyres. Having another car up my @$$, I wasn't going to stop in the middle of the bridge nd block up town traffic. Would you? Subsequent repairs to the STEERING cost $800.00
I parked outside Coles and went in to use the public phone to call my Father to the scene so that he could 'escort' my vehicle to a place of repair (it proably took him about 20 minutes to turn up), and then as I went to move my vehicle, a flotilla of police vehicles descended on me and I was suddenly surrounded by a rafter of overzealous officers.
I am now facing a DUI charge despite the fact that ALL of my blood levels of medication were below the minimum effective amount! This has dragged on for over eighteen months, and what was supposed to be a two-day hearing looks like being six months.
Beware of any dealings with police. They take six weeks to get their sh1t together, and then give you six minutes to come up with the correct responses.
