Donations, Corporate and Philanthropic Sponsorship & Bequests

Donations

The Society has been a registered charity for more than twenty five years, yet it still attracts little or no sponsorship from corporations, philanthropic institutions or members of the public who are in good health. The Society, therefore, only functions at its current level of service due to on-going support from its many hundreds of members who donate their time and money.

In 2006-7, individual members again dug deep to help one another and others. The Society is most grateful to these people and everyone who has donated or been a member in the past.

Corporate and Philanthropic Sponsorship
The Society seeks to develop unique or recurrent sponsorship of financial or operational assistance.

Bequests
The Society is very grateful for the bequests it has received since it was founded which have enabled it to provide additional services.

To make a bequest to the Society in your will, you can use the following wording:

"I give, devise and bequeath, the amount of $___________ to the ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Society of New South Wales Inc. (Charitable Fundraising Number 11191) for the general purposes of the Society and I declare that:

  • I have a general charitable interest
  • a receipt from the Society will be a full and sufficient discharge to my Trustees
  • my executor shall not be concerned or obliged to see or inquire into the application of the monies the subject of the gift."
  • If you require further information, the Society recommends you seek independent legal advice.
