What are your favourite slothing methods?
I need to spend some time relaxing and my current methods are a bit... busy? They involve sitting and doing as opposed to just sitting.
Do you have a specific sloth spot?
Is there good slothing food?
Is television fantastic at a certain time of day?
Is music useful? What sort?
Bed or couch or beanbag or something else?
With company or by yourself?
Its been a while since I've had 'permission to sloth'... My OH pretty much ordered me to take a few days this week and I figured well, I better do it properly

How to sloth effectively
Not sure if this counts as slothing or more like passing out from exhaustion.
Lately I've been spending alot of time lying on my back on the loungeroom floor with feet up on the couch and staring at the ceiling fan, thinking.... nothing!! Just so tired.

Goatgirl, that's one of my favorite "meditation" positions. If I'm lucky, sleep follows.

Hmm... Maybe I've been meditating without realising it. I do find it very easy to "zone out" while on the floor like that, good stress relief.
Slothing!
My all time favourite sloth place is the tub! Get me a good, but light going book, a cool beverage and no noise, and then its about as relaxing as it can get!! I find the hot water is sooo soothing on sore muscles, and as long as im in the bathroom its my me time, no kids allowed!!

you know, I don't remember the last time I had a bath! I should give it a go!
Do you use epsom salts?
How to sloth effectively
An uninterupted bath sounds like bliss. My children seem to take my enering the bathroom as a sign to disturb me with anything they can think of even if dad is just in the other room  I don't use salts or bath bombs as I react badly but essential oils are divine. The stereo in the bathroom with some relaxing music is also good (can even help to drown out the kids for a while
) Ohter than that music is definately my prefered method for zoning out but it has to be something I am familiar with and of course no other noise. Headphones can help there, they can put a respectable distance between you and the rest of the world (kids included)

Slothing
Ha! finally I am not alone in my bizarre world of slothiness. I am so pleased to find people experiencing enforced vegetation, and still able to have a sense of humour. I have just joined up having had CFS for a year. It took me that long to get it all arranged and the wretched computer and modem/router working again. I cannot tolerate much noise or stimulation or heat or the fatigue gets worse. But I am an excellent slother. So I find that lying on my bed and staring at the light fitting is an automatic zone-out. Sometimes I look at the whirly heat ventilator on the roof opposite. It goes round and round and round... Once every 6 months or so a bird lands on it and whirls around and falls off. This is really funny (oh dear). And I actually hang around for six months waiting for another silly bird to do it gain - for another laugh. I love my bed, and manage to sloth on it even when brushing my teeth - an exhausting exercise so i rest during the process. My daughter sees me slothing horizontally with a toothbrush sticking vertically out of my mouth, and foaming at the edges and says "MUM! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!". (12 year olds are very impressed by the strange sloth habits of their parent). Here are others: lying on the lounge with arm in the air in an attempt to stop the arm and hand pain, lying on the lounge staring at the blue screen for 30 mins after I've turned off Foxtel but succumbed to zombieland before making it upstairs to bed. My all time favourite is lying outside on the day-bed, lost in interia, listening to the budgies chirping.
