This is a little dated now, but as most CFS victims will attest, PAIN is one of the common denominators in life. I acted on the information as it came to air (on Channel 7 if I recall), that there is a LINK between Codeine use and "total sudden irreversible deafness". When I confronted my GP with this information, she knew nothing of it, but we changed my pain control to ibuprofen and, surprise of all surprises, I don't have to take it daily!

So if, like me, you have found yourself dependent on pain medication(s) do a double check and see if you're on the right ones for YOUR body.
