I always feel worthless and afraid. I feel always that I fail the family and dont have anyone to talk to about this. sue2z
Hi
Suez - you are not alone. I am glad you have found this forum as I just have. It is a good place for us to share our experiences and feelings. We are all so different yet can share together the secret understanding of many things that come with chronic illness.
I don't know anything about the medications that you have mentioned - so I can't offer any advice there - I hope someone else will be able to comment on that for you. In brief, I have been diagnosed with CFS after 3 years of recurrent bouts of unexplained illness. This year has been the toughest so far as I have had to stop work.
All your feelings are legitimate. It is an emotional roller coaster. When you are afraid just sit with it. Accept it. Say to yourself I feel afraid - that's ok. Let it come and go. I know - easier said than done
Are you seeing a counsellor or psychologist? I find the support and understanding from my psychologist very reassuring. I would recommend it to all. If you are in a financial hardship, as are a lot of us, you can get your GP to refer you to a psychologist under a special medicare rebate scheme where you get 12 subsidised sessions a year.
Anyway, we are here for you.

Marina
FIBROMYALGIA
Hi Sue
I have Fibromyalgia too. I hadn't heard of the patches you are on. Have you had a look at Doctor Daniel Lewis's website http://www.pathways2wellbeing.com.au/html/s01_home/home.asp He is a rheumatologist based in Melbourne. I know from experience how frustrating and debilitating our condition can be. Hang in there mate.
Regards
Justine
