Can we have a list of useful doctors?

I am sick of trawling my way through doctors and getting nowhere. The doctor I found that was helpful is no longer accessible.

Does anyone else know of doctors that:

a. Regularly treat CFS victims;
b. Understand what we're suffering without the need of a 2*4 around the head;
c. Are consultable by telephone or videoconference rather than excessive travel?

Is that too much to ask?

Can we have a list of useful doctors?

It sounds really simple, but it is rather tricky. There are privacy laws and promotional rules etc that all conspire against having that type of list freely available online.

We do have a database of doctors available at the society, but it is sadly outdated. Most doctors don't notify us when they move, or leave practice etc, and most patients don't tell us when they find a good one or if they use one on the list that turns out to be less than they expected.
Next week starts us on the run away from awareness week and will give us time to focus on other things, so that database will be high on the list of priorities. If you know of any that need to be taken off, just shoot an email to Mary at the office (mesoc@zip.com.au). She can probably suggest some doctors that other members have found useful, but how current they are is another matter entirely at this point in time. We hope to start rectifying that ASAP.

I don't mean a static list that has to be maintained by one person, I mean a dynamic one on this forum that is updated by the people who are seeing these doctors.

If someone manages to find a doctor who understands and listens to what's really going on, then please tell the rest of us about it. If on the other hand, you run into one of the usual types who do nothing productive, then leave it out.

I'm not advocating that doctors be allowed to advertise, but certainly as a network of disadvantaged health victims, we should be able to share information openly as to who is likely to prove helpful.
