Don't do the washing up.

No, really. dont.

You'll pick up a dish and about halfway between the side of the sink and the soapy water your neck will seize up and lock your shoulder in that position, causing you to have to manoeuvre your entire body in order to release the plate in a way that isn't going to end in shards of ceramic going here there and everywhere.

Its really an OH&S issue.

Can't do the dishes.

Nup.

Won't.

You can't make me!

I can sympathise

We recently moved and while packing the car I sublaxed my shoulder. Unfortunatly we had a deadline and even being injured couldn't get me out of all the packing and cleaning and such.

Sad Ouchy!

Yeah, I'm having a similar thing. The chiro I was seeing was saying 'stop doing such strenuous things'... like washing up? I mean, unless she's going to supply me with a packet of just-add-water dishwashing fairies I don't have much choice.
